Step into Holy Week
For as long as I can remember, Holy Week has been significant for me – at home as well as at church (although, despite numerous attempts, I have still not managed to make edible Hot Cross Buns).
This year Andrew and I decided to put together a series of prayer stations for Holy Week here at the manse and open it up to the circuit for a few hours on several days, inviting people to enter into the drama and emotion of these final days of the life of Jesus.
If you’re near to Glasgow, it will be open on Good Friday from noon until about 3pm, but if you’re too far afield to drop in, you might like to envisage the journey from wherever you are, with some images to take you along the route…
- Palm Sunday
2. The cleansing of the temple
3. The betrayal by Judas
4. The anointing at Bethany
5. The Last Supper
6. The washing of the feet
7. Gethsemane (an invitation to go into the garden – on the rare moments when it wasn’t raining!)
8. With Peter at the fireside
Pilate washes his hands
9. The cross
Not the end…
With love in this holy season, Jill
Thank you, Andrew, and Jill. Easter Blessings to you both xx

Thank you Jill and Andrew for allowing me to share once again in a wonderfully personal time of reflection, this time on Christs journey to the Cross. What a lovely idea to invite folks into your home. Blessings on you both especially now. Delphine
